If you have an occupational therapist ask them about getting an electric wheelchair. If you don't, ask your doctor. They should be able to find an electric wheelchair which most appropriately fits your needs.
You really need to be able to try out an electric wheelchair before you decide it is right for you. You may discover problems that you otherwise would not. We discourage you from buying an electric wheelchair that you have not had the chance to try out.
I am aware that some readers may not have this option. Perhaps you live in a country where it is difficult to obtain an electric wheelchair. Not only does this make obtaining a good electric wheelchair hard it is also hard to get your electric wheelchair repaired. Unfortunately I don't have an easy answer for you.
